Tyla graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. She became a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy in 1999 (FCAMT), and has worked exclusively in private practice since graduation. Tyla held a three-year volunteer term on the executive for the National Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and continues to hold the position of assistant instructor with that organization. Currently, Tyla is a physiotherapist at Diane Lee & Associates - Consultants in Physiotherapy and her interests lie in the areas of manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation and education. In addition to traditional clinical pursuits, Tyla has attained considerable experience in the use of real-time ultrasound imaging for the assessment and retraining of lumbopelvic core stability. Tyla is passionate about postpartum health and plays a key role in the Postpartum Health for Moms - Restoring Form & Function after Pregnancy program.
