Sometimes, our old movement and posture habits are hard to break and you need help with maintaining the release of those stubborn muscles and a coach for movement and exercise to ensure that you don’t overdo it or fall back into those bad movement habits that got you into trouble in the first place. Sound familiar?

This unique program begins with an extensive physiotherapy consultation (which includes a biomechanical examination as well as an ultrasound imaging evaluation) which sets the foundation for the dos and don’ts in the Pilates/Movement part of your program.

The program is personalized for YOUR needs and is run by a fully certified Pilates instructor who is not only certified in advanced Pilates technique and teaching but also in rehabilitative Pilates to ensure a safe, yet progressive program for your improved stabilization and movement. Angele Stevenson, our movement educator, will be in charge of your exercise program working together with one of the physiotherapists at Diane Lee & Associates. We have found that this collaboration works so well that we have decided to offer it as a specific program.

Learn how to release those tight hips and relieve the stress on your back (great for your walking or running program).

Learn how to support your chest with your diaphragm, release those back muscles and free up your rotation (great for your golf or tennis swing).

Learn how to find those hamstrings again and support your core with the muscles of your legs – what does use your legs to lift mean anyway – come and find out!

This program consists of an initial one hour session with a physiotherapist followed by twelve sessions (preferably twice a week but weekly will also do) with Angela Stevenson (thirteen sessions in total). It is important that you don’t miss the sessions as each builds on the previous and you will be given homework to do in between each session. There will be no make up sessions for those missed in the program.

At the conclusion of your program, we will refer you to a community facility where you can continue with your fitness and movement training. We are closely affiliated with the best gyms and studios in South Surrey and White Rock and work closely with their trainers to ensure a smooth transition for you that is safe and pain free.
