Jill Irvine
Jill Irvine graduated from UBC in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical therapy. In 2001, she became a Resident in the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy. In 2003, she received her certification in Dr. Gunn's IMS (dry needling for trigger point release). In 2004, she completed the academic component for the Research Masters of Science program at University of Calgary and is looking forward to finishing her thesis.
Jill has worked exclusively in private practice where she specialized in sports and orthopaedic rehabilitation. She has had the opportunity of working with international acclaimed athletes, medical teams and coaches at various Canadian universities and sports facilities. She has provided on site acute care for sporting events at the international, national and provincial level. Jill has traveled extensively with the Canadian Senior Men's Rugby Fifteen and Sevens Team, and traveled with the Canadian Alpine Ski Team and National Snowboard Team. She recently worked with the British National Halfpipe Team at the Snowboard FIS World Cup in Vancouver and also worked locally with the Bayside Rugby Team. This year she travelled with the National Snowboard Team to Quebec for the Snowboard FIS World Cup and travelled to Italy for the Junior World Cup Snowboard Championships.
Jill takes pleasure in treating all types of injuries but has developed a special interest in sports rehabilitation. She is passionate about helping individuals maximize their performance in sports, work and play. Jill believes that individualized care, hands on treatment, and exercise & education are key to a full recovery. She lives and works in the peninsula (South Surrey / White rock area) and enjoys being able to give back to her community.
